Emergency First Aid at Work

This is a 1-day course Comprehensive course (6 hours) covering a wide range of first aid emergencies enabling participants to deal with emergency situations in a prompt, efficient way. Meeting the statutory requirements of the HSE including defibrillators.

The course includes:

The role of the first aider                Health and safety (first aid) regulations
Managing an emergency                       Resuscitation (adult CPR)
Communication and casualty care Seizures (adult)
Bleeding (minor and severe) Shock
Burns Unresponsive casualty
Choking (adult) Defibrillator pad placement
Defibrillator prompts and how to respond

Delegates will be continually assessed during the day and then awarded their certification at the end of the course which is valid for 3 years.  We recommend that all delegates attend an annual refresher training courses once qualified so please ask about future courses.

First Aid Manuals are available at an additional cost of £5pp, if required.

Start: 9:00am 

Finish: 3:00pm

Refreshments provided: Hot drinks on arrival and breaks included. Lunch is available on request – please enquire at booking.

NOTE: Courses require a minimum of 5 attendees or courses may be cancelled or merged with another date.
